With 70% of the population in Tanzania being rural based small-scale-farmers solely depending on land as a major source of livelihood. Idea is to support them to enhance their productivity as part of our grand mission to reduce poverty and spur pro-poor social economic growth. We do this by working in seven services areas.
Supporting growth of Business/ farming, as a business and increasing ability of small and medium scale enterprises to use productive resources, are the key elements in boosting agricultural productivity.
Production goes hand in glove with being able to sell. We strive to connect small and medium scale enterprises to both local and international markets. We do market intelligence for our clients.
Access to finance is key factor for investment to spur productivity; we support small and medium scale enterprises not only to access but also how to service financial loans.
Increasing productivity involves supply of inputs, which is frequently out of synchrony with production season. With appropriate stakeholders, we help to develop area specific inputs logistical supply system.
